How to Change the Battery on a Citroen Xsara Picasso

On some models of the Citroen Xsara Picasso, the battery is located under the driver's seat rather than in the engine bay, so you need to lift the seat to access it. Here's how to do it: remove the headrest by pressing the latch on the left side; this is essential as you will need to push the seat all the way up. Then push it all the way forward to see the position of the battery. Now, from the plastic bar behind the seat, you will see some springs: you need to open them so that the seat is pushed upwards, allowing access to the battery, which is covered by a plastic cover that you can remove. Then disconnect the negative terminal, followed by the positive terminal, and remove the battery for replacement. Finally, reverse the process to put everything back in place.
