If the remote control of our Citroen C4 does not work anymore, it could be that the battery is flat or damaged. To carry out the replacement, open the plastic cover of the key to get to the battery. In particular we take the remote control key C4 and press the button to trigger the metal key. We find the precise point where to pry to remove the flap. We hold the remote control key with one hand, with the other we insert a lever kit on the side of the cover where the metal key is housed. We pry up to detach the plastic cap that covers the back of the key. Here we will find the battery to replace, that is a 3V Cr 2032 flat type. Now remove the flat battery with a mini screwdriver and place the new 3V Cr 2032 battery (best of excellent quality for a longer duration). Finally we close the remote control key with the cover cap (press until it locks in the plastic) and press the plastic after having positioned them perfectly. To be sure we have done everything correctly, we test the operation of the remote control by opening and closing the car doors.
