How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Citroen C3 Petrol

Today, we will see how to replace the timing belt on a Citroen C3, as well as on petrol models like the C1 and C2. Lift the car on a column lift or jack (if necessary, remove the front wheel using a screwdriver to detach the right wheel arch liner). Once these operations are complete, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover. Using a suitable spanner, loosen the tensioner roller and slide the belt out of its seat. After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to tension the roller, adjusting until the belt has the correct tension (previously fitted). Finally, check the tensioner and the belt itself.
