Camshaft Replacement

This tutorial shows how to install a new camshaft on a Citroen ZX. The camshaft converts the vertical motion of the pistons into the circular movement that drives the wheels while simultaneously opening and closing the valves for the gas mixtures in the cylinders. After greasing the lobes, insert the camshaft into its housing. Once inserted, secure it in place. After placing a template around the lifters, rest the camshaft on the cylinder head. After positioning the rocker arms, proceed to tighten the valves. Next, fit the timing gear, ensuring it is correctly positioned and tightened; then install the belt and manually check the timing. Finally, perform the valve timing.
