Before applying the new gasket, clean the gasket seating thoroughly, both on the cylinder head side and the manifold side; it is essential to remove any dirt and deposits that could affect the gasket's adherence and sealing, potentially leading to noise and a loss of engine performance.

Once cleaning is complete, align the new gasket with the dowel pins and fit the manifold by tightening the fixing nuts with a torque wrench in a cross pattern.
