Replacement of Cylinder Head Fixing Pins

Model: Citroen C5 DC, MK 1 - Years 2000-2008

After removing the cylinder head, it is advisable to use a new set of pins to reattach it to the block; but before doing so, re-tap the threads of the fixing holes with a tap to remove any burrs or thread-locking residue: during this operation, avoid allowing any shavings to fall into the cylinders. Before inserting the new pins, apply copper grease to the bottom of the threads and just below the head, and tighten them following a cross pattern using a torque wrench and a calibrated wrench to ensure perfect and uniform adherence of the gasket to the surfaces.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
