In this video, we can see how to change the gear knob of a Citroen/Peugeot car: we start by lifting the frame that acts as a fastening to the gear lever boot, using a plastic spatula to avoid damaging the chrome parts. We remove the leather (or faux leather) boot and cut the strap that holds the boot to the metal lever of the gear lever, lower the boot and remove the damaged knob to be replaced. You will surely find a suitable knob for your needs online, on one of the many e-commerce platforms. We insert the new knob, put a new strap inside the boot, pull it down and put the chrome frame back in place. Job done.
