How to Program the Key Remote of the Citroen Xsara Picasso

If pressing the buttons on the key remote does not activate the locks and the remote battery has already been replaced, it is likely that you need to program the remote; this procedure is performed inside the vehicle without the need for diagnostic tools. Sit in the driver's seat, close all doors and windows, insert the key into the ignition, turn on the ignition, and while the ignition is on, press the front button on the remote for three seconds. Turn off the ignition, remove the key, and press the rear button for another three seconds, then check if it is functioning.
