How to Change Engine Oil and Filter on a Dacia Sandero

In this video tutorial, you will see how to change the engine oil and oil filter on a Dacia Sandero. Purchase engine oil (SAE 5w-40) and an oil filter. Get into the vehicle, turn off the engine, and engage the handbrake; open the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Open the oil filler cap to allow the oil to drain more quickly when the time comes. Before draining the oil filter, it is advisable to add a cleaner to the engine to degrease it and remove any residues, thus reducing fuel consumption and emissions. Leave the engine running for about 5 minutes, then add the product and keep the engine running for another 15 minutes without driving the vehicle. Lift the vehicle using a hydraulic jack and place it on axle stands; position a container under the vehicle to collect the oil and unscrew the oil drain plug; wait for all the oil to drain into the container. Unscrew the oil filter and replace it with the new one. Refit the drain plug, tightening it sufficiently, lower the vehicle, and top up with new engine oil.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y

To open the bonnet on this vehicle, follow these simple instructions: first, open the driver's door and locate the lever positioned just below the dashboard, marked with an image of the vehicle with the bonnet open. Pull this lever towards you until you hear a "click" indicating the bonnet is released. Next, exit the cabin and stand in front of the bonnet to disengage the safety catch and complete the opening.
