Instructions for Replacing the Alternator

Model: Dodge Journey MK 1 - Years 2008-2020
Part: Alternator

Before proceeding with the alternator removal operations, it is advisable to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery; this is located under the left front wing, and to reach it, you need to move the fuse box positioned near the engine air filter box. The alternator is located on the left side of the engine (when viewed from the front): the first operation to perform is to remove the auxiliary belt by loosening the tensioner; then remove the idler pulley to access the alternator's mounting bolts and unscrew them. Move the alternator away from its seat and disconnect the connector and the positive cable eyelet. Then proceed in reverse for the installation of the new one, also considering the possibility of choosing a refurbished product.

How to Replace the Fuel Pump on an Opel Corsa C

Usually, upon the first ignition of the dashboard, a sound similar to a spray can be heard from the rear of the cabin: this is the fuel pump pressurising the system and preparing to supply fuel to the engine for ignition; if this sound is not heard, start by checking the integrity of the relevant power fuse, and if it is intact, verify that voltage reaches the power connector; if current is present, you can also try powering the pump directly to confirm it is faulty; replacing it is very simple, just disconnect the connector and hoses, then unclip the retaining ring and remove it to replace it with a new one.
