How to Change the Engine Oil on a DR5

Model: DR 5 MK 1 - Years 2007-2022

In this video, learn how to change the oil on a DR5: you will need an oil filter complete with a seal and 4.5 litres of synthetic oil SAE 5W40 or 10W40. You will also need a container to drain the used oil for proper disposal at an authorised centre; then, using a 17mm socket, unscrew the oil sump plug. Remember to replace this component (including the seal) to avoid leaks. Now remove the oil filter, which you can do from the bonnet. You will need a 27mm socket with an extension. Remove the filter and the old seal from the plug, then replace the filter and seal, lubricating it with a bit of new oil. Fit the new plug with its seal back onto the oil sump. Now you can add the new oil. Run the engine at idle for a few minutes and then recheck the oil level. You can then refit the cover. Operation complete.
