How to remove the front shock absorber on a Fiat Ducato? The first step: lift the bonnet and secure it. Use a socket spanner to undo the securing bolts of the shock absorber (after removing the wipers and the plastic panel under the windscreen), lift the vehicle on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Undo the securing bolts of the shock absorber at the wheel hub with a socket spanner (disconnect the brake line hoses using a screwdriver). Remove the bolts on the side, pull the shock absorber out of its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation. Fit the new shock absorber onto the vehicle, working in reverse order.
