How have the fuel tanks for vintage Fiat 500s evolved?

If we have a vintage Fiat 500 that we are lovingly restoring, we should not overlook a detail like the fuel tank: a tank that we can buy cheaply could hide poor quality. Remember that the "N" models, those produced until 1960, had a "flat" tank with a capacity of about 21 liters; the "D" versions, produced until 1964, had the so-called "cubic" tank with a capacity of 20/21 liters; the "F" version had a horizontal development tank with a capacity of 22 liters, while the "L" and "R" had the "barrel-shaped" tank, always with a capacity of 22 liters. The Giardiniera followed the evolution of the sedan, and in all models the tank is located in the front hood of the vehicle. Originally, the tanks had a thickness of 0.8 mm, while now a good tank must have a thickness of 1.2 mm.

How to Open the Bonnet of a Renault Megane if the Lever is Broken?

If the lever that unlocks the bonnet of the Renault Megane is broken or not functioning, there is an emergency procedure to unlock the mechanism: remove the right front grille located at the top of the bumper. Once the grille is removed, you can locate the actuator mechanism: by pulling the spring in this position, you can unlock the actuator, allowing you to lift the bonnet and access the components located inside the engine compartment. You can then close the bonnet simply by lowering it.
