What Does It Mean If the Clutch Pedal of the Fiat Punto Is Soft?

If the clutch pedal is completely soft and offers no resistance, or touches the floor without returning, as shown in the video, the problem is almost certainly related to the hydraulic system of the clutch or a mechanical failure. Cars with hydraulic clutches generally use the same fluid as the brakes, or a small dedicated reservoir. So check it: if it is empty or very low, there is a leak in the system: look for fluid spots under the vehicle. It could be the master cylinder leaking fluid, or it may have worn seals; there could be fluid under the mat on the driver's side. In cars that have a cable instead of a hydraulic system, the cable may have come off or broken. Call a breakdown service: driving without a clutch is dangerous and can lock the gearbox.
