Once the tailgate is open, remove the plastic pins holding the boot lining. You will also need to remove the screw that secures the lift cord on the right side. After lowering the lining, you can work on the lock. Remove the two side bolts and then the rear electrical connector. You can find the new lock, for example, on AliExpress with code 1005007628525974 for £16.79, with free shipping. Replace the lock by securing it and reconnecting the connector, then reattach the upholstery and the cord, and your work is complete.
