How to Replace the External Door Handle on a Fiat Tipo

Removing and replacing the external door handle on the Fiat Tipo is a fairly simple task that does not require removing the internal panel or the use of special tools. The first access point will be on the side of the door where a small plastic cap will be present corresponding to the handle, which needs to be removed. This cap will be snap-fitted, and you can leverage it with a screwdriver to pull it off. Removing the cap will reveal a hole in the metal where the fixing pin of the fixed part of the handle (or the lock if present) will be located. To remove the fixed part of the handle, loosen the pin, being careful not to remove it completely; a few turns will allow the fixed part of the handle to be easily extracted. Once extracted, only the movable part attached to the door will remain, which will be snap-fitted. To detach it from the internal attachments of the door, pull it with some force towards the fixed side of the handle. Once detached, the handle can be removed, and a new one can be installed by inserting the hooks into the holes of the door and pushing towards the opposite side of disassembly. After the handle is secured, insert the fixed part of the handle into its seat and secure it by tightening the pin inside the hole on the side of the door.
