How to Replace the Gear Shift Gaiter on a Fiat Panda

Model: Fiat Panda 169, MK 2 - Years 2003-2012

To replace the leather gaiter that protects the gear lever on the Fiat Panda, first, remove the gear knob. To do this, hold the lever at the gaiter and pull the knob firmly to extract it from its seat (do not rotate the knob either clockwise or counterclockwise). Remove the spring found inside the lever once the knob is extracted. Now pull the leather gaiter off by tugging at the base to disengage the clips holding it in place. Next, remove the plastic piece at the top of the gaiter by simply pulling it off. Also, remove the circular piece at the base that secures it in position. At this point, fit the new gaiter, ensuring to position the circular piece in the same way as the old gaiter (make the same slots in the same position on the new gaiter). Finally, reassemble everything in position.
