How to Reset the Service Light on a Fiat Ducato X290

If the red oil light is flashing on your Fiat Ducato X290, you need to reset the counter. Here is the manual procedure to reset it without diagnostic tools. Sit in the driver's seat and turn on the instrument panel. Fully press the accelerator pedal and hold it down; at the same time, press the brake pedal seven times in succession. Release the brake while keeping the accelerator pressed, and wait for about 60 seconds. During this wait, the instrument panel may flash or display messages. After a minute, release the accelerator completely and turn off the ignition: wait another minute, then turn the ignition back on: the light will be off.
