Adjusting the Tappets on a Fiat Punto

Model: Fiat Punto MK 1, 176 - Years 1993-1999

After preparing all the necessary tools, begin the operations. The images in this video refer to an engine from the 176 series. Start by removing the valve cover secured by some perimeter screws, which you can access after removing the air filter. Engage 5th gear and push the car until the valves are in the correct position. At this point, check the gap with a feeler gauge between the cam and the tappet, then remove it carefully using the appropriate tools. Replace it with one of the correct thickness. After repeating the operation for all the valves, clean the tappet cover seating and reassemble everything.
