How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Fiat 1.2 or 1.4 Engine?

To replace the timing belt on a Fiat with a 1.2 or 1.4 engine, first remove the plastic cover located at the bottom of the car, protecting the engine. Once removed, you will have access to the pulleys and the lower part of the belt: by loosening the central bolts of the pulleys, the belt can be extracted. Next, it will also need to be removed from the upper part, which requires opening the top of the engine and removing the tensioner. At this point, the old belt can be replaced with a new one by refitting the tensioner and the previously removed plastic covers.
