Removing and Cleaning the Throttle Body on the 1.9 CDTI - JTD Engine on Fiat and Opel

In this simple guide, you will find the steps to remove and clean the throttle body on the 1.9 CDTI and 1.9 JTD engines fitted in Opel and Fiat, as well as in Alfa Romeo and Lancia. First, open the bonnet and begin removing the throttle body, located on the right side of the engine bay; to do this, remove the intake hose by unscrewing the clamp bolts, and then unscrew the bolts of the aluminium elbow to remove it. Next, disconnect the accelerator cable to remove the throttle body; clean it with a suitable degreaser and reassemble everything!
