Operation: How to replace the battery (without leaving the car without power)

In this video the battery of a Fiat Punto is replaced without ever leaving it without power. This method is used for new cars which are particularly equipped with various types of control units. Remove the battery holder by removing the two 10 mm hexagonal screws and then loosen the terminals without removing them. Take the cables and connect them to the poles of the new battery. Generally the positive pole (+) corresponds to the red color, to the negative pole (-) the black (green / blue / light blue). Connect the clamps to the poles of the new battery and attach the other end of the clamps to the old battery: this time, however, do not attach them directly to the poles but to the respective terminals. Do it with both cables: positive pole with red cable and negative pole with black cable! The batteries are now connected to each other. At this point we detach the clamps of the old battery leaving the clamps (which we had previously only loosened) attached. Lay them on the side of the battery site. Now remove the old battery (which will be disposed of) and insert the new battery. Now you will have to re-attach the clamps from the clamp to the respective poles, taking care never to lose the electrical contact (which would make the whole procedure useless). Now tighten the clamps again.
