How to Replace the Battery in a Fiat Grande Punto

To change the battery in a Fiat Grande Punto, open the front bonnet: the battery is located directly in front of the driver, between the engine block and the right side of the bodywork. Using a long socket, unscrew the screw that holds the clamp in place. Start by disconnecting the negative terminal, and then the positive. Now you can remove the battery. Clean the connectors well, as they may be a bit oxidised. Place the new battery in position, and apply some copper grease to the terminals to improve the connection. Reconnect the positive terminal and then the negative. Now you can screw the clamp back in place. Job done.
