The noise or even the breaking of the timing chain of the Fiat 1.3 mjt engines is a fairly frequent defect, especially if maintenance is neglected; to carry out this repair it is necessary first of all to have the appropriate crankshaft and camshaft locking kit to maintain timing; it will start by draining the engine oil and removing the relative sump; then the auxiliary belt, the crankshaft pulley, the engine side support will be removed in order to be able to remove the timing cover; once the templates of the phase have been placed, it will be possible to proceed with the disassembly and replacement of the elements of the kit to complete the assembly of all the components and the filling of the engine with new oil.
