The intervention to replace the timing chain on this car is not really do-it-yourself, in the sense that it is rather complex, we try in this video and in this description to indicate the fundamental steps for disassembly. Once the bonnet has been opened it is necessary to remove the engine head cover, remove the coolant tank, remove the right side engine support and unscrew the fixing bolts of the upper chain cover. Then proceed to remove the service belt by loosening the relative belt tensioner. Then proceed to complete disassembly of the chain protection casing. Place two pins in the predispositions on the camshaft pulleys and on the crankshaft in order to maintain the engine timing and synchronism before removing the chain. Finally, loosen the belt tensioner and remove the chain.

How to set the time on the Peugeot 308

If we need to change the time on this car we can follow the instructions given in this video tutorial and read the instructions below. First of all, access the driver's seat and turn on the ignition.
