How to Change the Battery of the Fiat 500

If you intend to change your car's battery independently but don't know how, don't worry as you just need to follow these instructions. For added safety, it is recommended to wear insulating gloves and keep the engine off for the entire duration of the operation. Unlock the front bonnet by pressing the appropriate button located under the steering wheel and lift it completely. Locate the battery (driver's side) and remove the safety block by unscrewing the bolt located at the bottom of the battery. Disconnect the two terminals (first the negative, marked with black, and then the positive, marked with red). Lift the battery and replace it with the new one. Reconnect the two terminals and correctly reposition the safety block. Finally, close the bonnet.
