Fiat 500 - Video tutorial
Model: Fiat 500
312
- Years 2007-2022 To change discs and pads on the Fiat 500, start by opening the bonnet, open the brake fluid reservoir. Lift the front of the car and remove the wheels for more convenient access to the discs. A Place it on the trestles, don't just trust the jack. When you have removed the wheels, put them under the car. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver between the edge of the disc and the caliper. Use a size 12 socket wrench to unscrew the two screws holding the disc up. Remove the screwdriver and turn the disc out. Insert a screwdriver into the slot of the caliper, pry and pull towards you to release it. Use pliers to remove the lower key and bolt holding the two halves together. Pull the caliper up and remove the pads. Use a 17 key to remove the screws from the bracket, which will come off all at once. Finish removing the screws holding the drive and take it out. Clean the axle well with a metal brush. Then pass a round of copper grease around the central screw. Before putting the new disc in place, it must be thoroughly cleaned with brake cleaner to remove the paraffin storage. Put the disc in place and tighten the two screws firmly. Now it's up to the caliper. You can put that back in its place too. Put the new pads in place after greasing the outside of the new pads with copper grease. Place the safety lock on the bottom of the caliper. Put the wheels back on and get the car out. Remember to screw the brake fluid cap back on. Start the car and push down the pedal to bring the pads back to the disc.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
