To replace the gearbox oil in a Fiat 500, lift the car using a ramp to access the components beneath the engine bay. Locate the gearbox, which has the fill and drain plugs: the drain plug, found at the rear, can be opened to collect the used oil in a suitably positioned container.

Once the old oil is removed, pour in the new oil through the fill plug and then close the gearbox with the appropriate plug.
