How to change the remote control battery of a Fiat Punto key

Replacing the remote control battery of a Fiat Punto car key is a very simple operation, all you will need is a small flat-blade screwdriver and of course the new battery. Take the remote control of your car and first of all press the small button located at the end of the body in order to make the metal key come out of it. At this point take the screwdriver and unscrew the small screw in the remote control recess, this will allow you to extract the battery compartment. Then extract the exhausted battery and replace it. The model required is a 3V CR 2032 flat type battery.

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system. Position the new intercooler radiator in the grille, temporarily securing it with cable ties, and mark with a marker the part of the metal that needs to be removed to allow the new hoses to pass through. Cut the marked portion of metal and apply a gasket to the edge.
