To replace the door lock on a Fiat Punto, loosen all the screws securing the panel so that it can be removed, providing access to the components underneath. Next, loosen the screw that secures the lock from the side of the door, allowing the piece to be extracted from the hole beneath the area covered by the panel. By disconnecting all the wires connected to the lock, you will be able to completely remove it for replacement with a new part; after replacement, reassemble all the removed parts.
