How to Change the Oil and Filter in a Fiat Panda 4x4 Multijet

The video shows how to perform a service, including the oil change and filter replacement, on a 2016 Fiat Panda 4x4 1.6 Multijet. First, open the bonnet and secure it with the safety latch. Then, lift the car and remove the cover under the engine to access the oil drain plug. The cover can be removed using a 10mm spanner to undo the eight bolts present. At this point, you will be able to locate the oil sump, from which you will unscrew the plug with the appropriate spanner; remember to use a container to catch the used oil. To help drain the oil better, it will be useful to open the top oil cap; this vent will facilitate the emptying of the sump. Now, working under the bonnet, locate the filter, which is situated beneath a pipe that you will need to remove with appropriate screwdrivers and a 7mm spanner. Now, using a 27mm spanner, unscrew the filter and then extract it. Once the old filter is removed, take off the seal from the filter housing and replace it with a new one, then insert the new filter. Before refitting it, lubricate the seal with some oil; this will allow you to fit it back in place and proceed to reassemble all the components that were removed.
