If you intend to completely remove the engine from the engine bay, proceed with caution and ensure you have a hoist to support and subsequently extract the engine. Essentially, you need to free the engine block from wiring, hoses, cables, and everything that connects it to the various services; after this first step, separate the engine from the gearbox and then move on to the relevant supports; once you are sure that the engine is completely free, lift it slightly to ensure it moves freely and then lift it out to complete the removal.
