When assembling the engine it is always advisable to use a new set of gaskets and oil seals to ensure that you do not incur any unpleasant leaks after assembly. The camshaft seal is in some ways quite strategic and it is important that it be installed in a workmanlike manner: therefore carefully clean the oil seal itself, abundantly lubricate both the seat and the oil seal with clean oil , then insert the oil seal with the lip facing inwards and press it up to the stop with the special pad, taking care not to deform it; finally, install the timing belt pulley.

How do I unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series?

In order to unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series, the Start / Stop button and the lever release button must be pressed at the same time. This procedure will allow the car gearbox to be unlocked for about 15 minutes, so that in the event of an engine failure, the car can still be moved. It may be necessary to repeat the operation more than once for its success. After unlocking the gearbox, it can return to its original state by simply waiting for the aforementioned 15 minutes, or by pushing the release lever forward for a few seconds.
