Operation: How to remove the timing chain

Disassembly of the timing chain requires good knowledge of general mechanics and above all the availability of the appropriate equipment for correct timing; you start by disconnecting the battery and removing the engine air filter box; drains the oil and coolant; remove the particulate filter and the turbine; remove the oil pan and the engine side support; remove the auxiliary belt and the water pump; then apply the appropriate templates to keep the camshaft in position and remove the chain cover casing; apply the template to the crankshaft pulley, remove the hydraulic tensioner and then the crown gear from the camshaft to complete the disassembly of the chain.
