How to Replace the Battery and Battery Tray in a Fiat Grande Punto

In this video, you will learn how to replace the battery and battery tray in a Fiat Grande Punto. To start, loosen the negative terminal clamp and disconnect it. Open the upper box where all the contacts are housed. Unscrew the screws and free the battery from this terminal block. Using a 13mm spanner, unscrew the bracket that secures the battery. Now, slide the battery out of its housing. Free the cables from the grommets located in the corners of the tray and unscrew the three screws that hold the tray in place. You can now remove the plastic battery tray from its housing.
