How to Remove the Airbag from the Fiat Ducato Van

Sometimes the airbag warning light on your Fiat Ducato may illuminate, flashing and emitting a bothersome sound. If you have replaced the relevant fuse but the light does not turn off, a replacement will be necessary. Although this operation is simple, it should be entrusted to an authorised expert as improper installation or malfunction of the airbag could have serious consequences. However, if you wish to carry out this operation independently, first disconnect the Ducato's battery as a poor connection could cause issues. Once the battery is disconnected, open the protection panel near the passenger seat and then continue to remove the footwell panel. With the panels open, disconnect the airbag connectors and perform a diagnosis using a computer. After that, replace the alternator and reconnect the airbag, then close the panels. Reconnect the battery and you're done; the airbag light should be off.
