How to Replace the Alternator Belt on Fiat 600

Replacing the alternator belt (or possibly the alternator itself) on this model of car is relatively straightforward, but it is necessary to remove the engine mount for better access. The alternator is located in an easily reachable position, just behind the oil level control stick. Once located, loosen the mounting bolts and slightly rotate the alternator to relieve the tension on the belt (one of the mounts has a slot specifically for adjusting the belt tension). After removing the old belt, insert the new one and apply tension.
