How to Fix the Indicator Malfunction on the Fiat Grande Punto

Model: Fiat Punto 199, MK 3, Punto EVO, Grandepunto - Years 2005-2018
Part: Tail light bulb

If the indicator light flashes very quickly when activating the indicator switch, it means that a bulb is not lighting up; activate the hazard switch and check which bulb is faulty: it is the rear light bulb. Dismantle the light by opening the boot and unscrewing the relevant fixing screws. Disconnect the power connector and unscrew the fixing screws of the bulb holder. You will notice that the bulb is not blown, but the earth wire and the corresponding terminal in the power connector are completely burnt out. You can resolve this issue by creating a so-called bridge: strip the earth wire and solder a sufficiently long piece of wire to enter the bulb holder and fix it to the earth of the bulb holder itself by soldering or securing it with a pin. Reassemble the light by reconnecting the power connector.
