In this video, we can see how the 0.9-litre 2-cylinder Twinair engine exhibits a system problem: the twin-cylinder structure generates extremely high exhaust gas pulsations, which excite the turbine in a non-linear manner, causing a phenomenon known as "surge", with very high peaks over a long period.

This system causes significant wear in the turbo regulation system (also known as the "wastegate"), and despite the materials used for these components being reinforced, they reach wear in a relatively short time.

The only remedy is to carry out a preventive repair using high-quality materials and replacing the timing belt.
