How to Replace the Wishbone Bushes on a Fiat Idea

Model: Fiat Idea MK 1 - Years 2003-2016
Part: Control arm

The failure of the bushes (silent blocks) of the suspension wishbones, the corresponding ball joint, and the support rubbers of the stabiliser bar is a common fault in many car models. In this case, you can choose to replace only the bushes on the same wishbones or the entire wishbones. The latter option is suggested due to the relatively low cost of the replacement part, and it is advisable to intervene on both wheels. Once the vehicle is lifted and the front wheels are removed, undo the nut securing the wishbone ball joint to the hub, extract it using a fork tool, and then remove the fixing pins of the other two bushes. Proceed in reverse for the installation of the new one.
