Fiat Panda - Video tutorial

Model: Fiat Panda 141, MK 1 - Years 1980-2003
Part: Drive shaft boot
Operation: How to replace the CV joint boot of the old Fiat Panda

If you hear a noise coming from the wheel, especially under the steering, it is likely that the constant velocity joint of the drive shaft is working without grease due to the broken boot: it is possible to replace the boot from the top of the wheel without having to remove the joint from the drive shaft, but simply by using a special plastic cone that acts as a shoe fit; the drive shaft must in any case be extracted from the hub and before lifting the car, loosen the nut in the center of the wheel; after which, lift the car, remove the wheel and disconnect the hub from the shock absorber and the head of the swinging arm; once the drive shaft has been extracted from the hub, remove the cover fixing clamps and cut it; at this point, abundantly lubricate the cone and insert the cuff upside down, sliding it to the base and then inserting it on the homokinetic joint; apply some grease in the joint and fix the cap with the special clamps and then proceed backwards for reassembly.
