Fiat Punto - Video tutorial
Model: Fiat Punto
188, MK 2
- Years 1999-2011 First, open and lift the hood, disconnect the negative pole from the battery as you will be dealing with petrol and it is better to avoid the electrical circuit being closed during this process which is simple but delicate. Now remove the cover above the engine because before removing the pump it will be necessary to press the bleed valve of the pump, so that the petrol that is in circulation in the pump is pushed all into the tank. To do this, after removing the cover, you will find a valve to the left of the engine intake duct, unscrew the cap and, covering the valve with a piece of cloth, press the tooth inside it. Now you have to go and lift the lower part of the rear seat in order to find the position of the tank cap, unscrew the three screws and remove the black cap, disconnect the connectors present and unscrew the white cap in order to then lift the central part which is the pump. Replace it and go back through the steps for reassembly.
