Among the tasks included in the periodic maintenance service for the Fiat Palio is the replacement of the air filter, which supplies the engine's injection system. To carry out this task, open the front bonnet and secure it with the prop rod; locate the air filter housing in the centre of the engine, remove the cover by unscrewing the screws that hold it in place, and take out the old filter element.

Clean the inside of the housing from any dirt, using a vacuum cleaner if necessary, then fit the new filter ensuring the rubber edge is properly seated, close the cover, and secure it.
