How to Replace the Battery in a Ford Focus

How do you maintain your Ford Focus? This guide explains how to remove the battery. Open the car's door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the bonnet, disengaging the locking lever with your fingers. Once the engine compartment is open, you will find the car battery at the top left. Unscrew the securing bolts of the terminals on both opposite poles. Free the battery from any clamps and remove it from the engine compartment. Insert the new battery and reconnect the terminals. Finally, close the battery compartment and shut the bonnet.
