Opening and closing the bonnet of the Ford Focus is a very simple and quick operation to perform independently when you need to check the oil level or other fluids, or if you want to carry out maintenance on the engine or battery. To open the bonnet, you need to open the front left door, on the driver's side.

This way, you can access the cabin and lift the lever located near the pedals to release the bonnet. Move to the front of the vehicle and insert your fingers inside the bonnet; this will allow you to move the latch to the right and fully open the bonnet.

Secure the bonnet with the prop rod to keep it open. To close the bonnet, simply remove the rod and let it fall back into place.
