Replacing the brake pads is a maintenance task that you can certainly do yourself, but with the right precautions as brakes are a crucial safety element. Lift the vehicle to remove the front wheel, remove the protective caps on the caliper mounting pins, and unscrew them to detach the caliper.

Then, remove the old pads, clean any dirt residue, insert the new pads, retract the caliper piston, and reposition the caliper on the bracket, tightening the mounting pins and reapplying the caps.
