How does the Ford Door Edge Protector work?

The Ford Door Edge Protector is a great solution to protect the edge of our Ford car from scratches and dents, especially in tight parking situations or in tight spaces. It is a strip of sturdy and flexible plastic that is mounted directly on the edge of the door: when the door opens, the protection automatically extends, creating a barrier between the edge of the door and any obstacles. When the door closes, the protection retracts inside the door panel, keeping the vehicle's aesthetics intact. It is an effective protection, very discreet, but must be installed by the Dealer (if it was not mounted directly during production).
