In order to replace the gear knob of the Ford Mustang, you need to grab the old one located at the end of the gear lever: once grabbed, you will need to rotate it decisively counterclockwise so that it can be completely released from the threaded part.

At this point, you can place the new knob on the end of the lever and turn it clockwise this time, until it is pushed all the way down: when the new knob is properly secured in its housing, you can check that it does not cause any issues during gear changes.
