Resetting the Service light on the Ford Focus MK2

Model: Ford Focus MK 2, Focus 2 - Years 2004-2011

To remind us to change the engine oil of the Ford Focus, a warning message appears on the display in the center of the instrument panel. Once the replacement is done, we reset the reminder. Sitting behind the wheel of the car, we turn the ignition key to position two, press and hold down the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously. A message will appear on the display indicating that the procedure is in progress. After about ten seconds, when the message "reset completed" appears, we release the two pedals and turn off the instrument panel to complete the operation.
