How to replace the timing belt of a Ford Fiesta Ecoboost

To replace the timing belt of a Ford Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost, you will need an engine support, torque wrenches, a puller clamp, the belt kit (complete with water pump and tensioner: you can find it on motointegrator. It with code CT881K5 at the price of 46.55 euros + 9.95 euros for shipping) and a crankshaft lock. Start by disconnecting the battery and draining the coolant; use an engine support to stabilize the engine during the work. Remove the belt cover and the crankshaft pulley; loosen the camshaft pulleys, then start the replacement by installing the new water pump without silicone, only with the gasket and tensioner; install the new belt; bring the engine back into alignment with the locking tools (check the references on the camshafts and the crankshaft). Tighten everything to the correct torque: crankshaft 100 Nm +90°; pulleys and camshafts 30Nm + 45°. For verification, turn the engine by hand twice to confirm alignment. Fill the coolant and start the engine. The engine should run without any abnormal noises.
